Ring splints falling off your fingers? How to make them fit PERFECTLY this winter

I don’t know about you, but where I live we are settling nicely into autumn weather 🍂🍁

The cool breeze clues us into the fact that winter is coming…

…and with cooler temperatures, our hands actually shrink up a bit.

With this, oftentimes ring splints that once stayed snug on our fingers come flying right off! 🌨 💍

(If you’re new to my world, and unfamiliar with ring splints, check out this article about ring splints then come back to me)

So what to do if your hands change sizes from season to season???

Here's how you can make ring splints work for you no matter how much your fingers swell or shrink 🎉

>> Try making microadjustments to your ring splints.

Pulling the ends of the ring splints farther apart makes them more snug, while squeezing the ends closer together makes them fit looser.

Here’s a quick tutorial on how to make them tighter for cooler weather 😁

>> Consider a ring size adjuster

If these ring size adjusters work for regular rings, why not for ring splints, too?!

This adjuster is a ring adjuster glue you can put on the loose ends of the ring splint for a more snug fit. It’s also removable, which may be helpful once the weather warms up again 😉

>> Getting a separate ‘winter’ ring splint set

I have had several clients tell me they have a ‘summer set’ and a ‘winter set’ of ring splints, as their hands swell and shrink fairly drastically according to the temperature.

The high cost of ring splints is a barrier for many, but if you want to try getting a ‘winter set’ I would encourage you to consider the plastic oval 8 splints (so much more affordable). They even now have them in clear
