Warm up your hands, ease your pain π
We are just coming out of a POLAR VORTEX π¨ and let me tell you...
There's nothing like the cold that makes my joints feel tired and sore. Do you notice this, too? ππ
If your hands are aching, stiff, or just feeling a bit off, youβre not alone. Whether itβs from long hours at the keyboard, managing household tasks, or simply the wear and tear of everyday life, our hands deserve a little extra love.
Hereβs a simple yet powerful tip to bring relief: heat therapy.
π Why heat works wonders:
Melts away stiffness: Warmth relaxes tight muscles and joints, making movement easier and less painful.
Boosts circulation: Heat helps get the blood flowing, delivering oxygen and nutrients to tired tissues and speeding up healing.
Soothes pain: The gentle warmth can reduce discomfort, giving you the freedom to use your hands without that constant ache.
My favorite ways to warm up my hands:
Rechargeable 'HotHands': These rechargeable hand warmers easily slip into your pocket or mittens for long-lasting warmth. They get even warmer than the single-use HotHands. The BEST part is that after 10 hours of use, you simply plug them in to recharge and use over & over! π
Fingerless warming gloves for typing: These are the CUTEST 'toast' fingerless gloves that can sit right on top of your hands and warm them up while you type! π»
Microwaveable hand mitts: If you're looking for a cozy warm cave for your hands to rest in while you veg on the sofa after a long day or nod off to sleep, look no further than these hand mitts! Pop em in the microwave and enjoy heat surrounding your fingers and hands π₯
Paraffin bath: You don't need to wait to go to the salon to experience a lovely, warm wax bath for your hands. If you get this, plan ahead - plug it in 3-4 hours before you want to use it to allow the wax to fully melt, then dip each hand several times in the wax and wrap your hand up in wax paper. Bonus points: stick your wax-coated hands in the microwaveable hand mitts for longer-lasting warmth. These are a luxurious treat for achy hands and a perfect excuse for self-care π
A cup of coffeeβ¦ literally: Hold a warm mug and let the heat seep into your fingers and palms (bonus: you get coffee! β)
Remember, your hands work hard for you every single day. A little extra care can go a long way in keeping them happy and healthy.
